This cover utilizes our unique Patented self-opening door mechanism. It is very easy to use and durable even in the extreme marine environment. Applying a small upward press to the door actuates the self-opening door. The door then opens automatically via its damped spring mechanism. The tinted acrylic door seals fully, against rubber gaskets on top and bottom. Unique to this cover is the removable front bezel, which covers the mounting frame. This bezel is made from 400Hr. UV stable plastic and can be painted to match dashboard colors. Our specially designed seals and gaskets prevent water spray from entering the cover protecting the radio from water damage. With the addition of our optional chassis cover and support the radio can be further protected from water dripping down on the radio chassis from other openings. The support bracket is designed to fully support the radio chassis and prevent damage under rugged use. All materials are designed for use in the marine environment and meet stringent marine industry standards for Ultra-violet light protection and salt-fog anti-corrosion protection.
