MAS-8200AL-Ti Audio Launcher® Wakeboard Tower Mount Speaker 180 Watts
8" Coaxial Tube Speaker designed for use in the Wake Boarding/Skiing segment of the Marine Audio market. Unique to this speaker are the patent pending mounting bracket design and features that make it survive the rigors of use in the marine environment. The tube body is made from an extruded Polypropylene material. The front and rear covers are injection molded Polypropylene. The entire speaker is finished in a high temp paint material, which meets all ASTM standards for UV stability to 400 Hr. UV-B accelerated testing. The speaker consists of a heavy-duty 8" woofer with a high efficiency 2" coaxial mounted tweeter. The woofer and tweeter frames, magnet and associated structure are finished in anti-corrosion plating and then finished in black powder coat paint. The cone material is a Titanium plated Polypropylene material. The surround is a Butyl material, both of which combine for high quality sound reproduction. The damper material is a synthetic waterproof material, which resistances mildew, and the effects of moisture. The voice coil is from high temp Kapton and wound with flat CCA wire. The voice coil, leads are extra large gauge tinsel with a silicone jacket. The solder terminations are coated with a silicone sealer to prevent corrosion. The terminals are gold plated 5-way binding posts. This speaker employs a patent pending mounting bracket CNC machined from 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminum with Stainless Steel hardware. The bracket utilizes a very unique quick release stainless steel pin mechanism, which incorporates a provision that allows the speaker to be mounted at 8 individual angels. This allows for the speaker to be position for best sound for waking boarding or enjoying music while on the beach. The speaker can be quickly removed for easy storage.
